ASH MARIE

Ash Marie has been a hairdresser for 21 years, her father was a barber so she was brought up in the business and had the opportunity at a young age to attended Cosmetology school while she was still in high school, so she could start what she loves right away! Ashley loves making people feel comfortable in their own skin, and making them feel beautiful inside and out, so why not do it every day? She doesn’t have one specific specialty because she believes she in continuous education, and being well rounded in everything! What she loves most are Highlights, bayalages and everything in between. She is certified in Tape-In and Fusion extensions From Aqua (who doesn’t want to be a real-life mermaid?) Ashley’s commitment to making you feel beautiful, & having a good time inspires positive vibes all around!


DANIELLE

Lead Stylist

Danielle graduated from Douglas J Aveda Institute in 2008, she began working with Goldwell color and spent the first 6 years of her career taking as many classes as possible. She worked in two different salons at the time, so she could constantly improve her skills and hone in on what she wanted to specialize in. Danielle has been a stylist for the last 13 years working her way up to a lead stylist position at Tribute; in those years she has been to New York Multiple times taking classes at the House of Bumble and Also Goldwell academy. Danielle is the most passionate about women’s short hair, color corrections & transitioning to natural grey hair. Danielle is best known for her relaxed demeanor and her phenomenal shampoo techniques.

HEATHER

Stylist

Heather has been a hairstylist at Tribute since our opening in May of 2015 and has over 17 years of cutting, coloring and styling experience. She believes continuing education is the key to success. During her career, she has traveled all over the U.S., including Canada, to enhance her skills and stay current on trends by some of our leading educators in our industry. Heather loves what she does and is very passionate about hair. Although she enjoys doing all kinds of hair, she specializes more in short hair cutting, many types of coloring/techniques especially reds and she truly enjoys the challenge of a good color correction. When She’s not in the salon Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids.


KATY

Stylist

“It’s a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together.”/p>Katy started her career at Douglas J Aveda institute in Ann Arbor, 13 years ago! Since then, she’s fallen in love with what she does, it never feels like it’s work. Katy has attended many classes in New York City and always stays on top of trends! Her style is more lived in looks and color! Custom hair painting and curly hair are her favorite! She also enjoys doing wedding hair and fun braided styles. Katy has worked back stage for bumble & bumble doing hair, She also went through their network educator program allowing her to learn skills to educate and lead her fellow coworkers.


MARCIA

Marcia has been a stylist for over 14 years, she has been with Tribute for 6 of those years! Marcia loves doing long thick curly hair. She has been to many education classes in and outside of the salon! She has attended classes from some of the industries lead stylist, such as Sonna Brado & Jay Mahmood. She has also attended Motivational classes from Jen Planck! Marcia enjoys learning new techniques and continuing her education!


PAIGE

Stylist/Makeup Artist

Since she was young, she had a passion for hair and makeup. When she graduated from Douglas J. Aveda in 2017 her dream came true. she was hired by Tribute Salon and Spa as an assistant. Tribute is not only her workplace but an environment that she is consistently learning, and becoming the best cosmetologist she can be. Shes been given opportunities to attend conventions and classes in Chicago and Milwaukee. Furthermore, well known stylists like Jay Mahmood and Derrick Zeno were flown in to teach us. Paige prides herself at being highly proficient at color, blonding, styling, and of course makeup. Knowing that her clients have a place to relax and feel good about themselves is what truly makes her love this job.


CAMRYN

Stylist/Makeup Artist

Camryn is a stylist here at Tribute and has been a part of the team since 2018, She started her career here as an assistant participating in many classes, continuing education, color & cutting training, and has worked her way to a level 1 stylist. She loves doing bright & fun colors as well as lived in looks such as bayalage! Blonding is another one of her favorites along with fun and feathery haircuts. She loves to stay on trend with new styles and steps outside the box! Camryn has a strong passion for the industry, her fashion and personality will make you want to step outside your comfort zone and try something new!

Dede has been in the industry over a decade, with many continued education classes that has allowed her to specialize in balayage, blondes, color corrections, & lived in color. Dede has been to New York for Goldwell color classes as well as Cutting Techniques. She has attended Vidal Sassoon trained Artist Jay Mahmood in salon. Because of  her continued education the industry it has allowed her to benefit and expand her knowledge so she can create the best looks for who ever may find themselves in her chair!

The day Jay decided to change his life, he walked home from his lunch shift at an Irish Pub restaurant where he had worked as a server. Remembering the moment so clearly. As he knew he couldn’t keep working as a server, and knew that traditional college was not for him. As the answer came, the day instantly grew brighter, and Jay knew with certainty that This industry was his path. Since that day jay has been a stylist for 17 years! Attending multiple education classes, & honing in on his skills, such as Goldwell Foundation Formulation NYC, Goldwell Formulation Foundations in Milwaukee, creative cutting with Jay Mahmood, Hair Cutting Foundations with Vivienne Mackinder, Increase Your Creative Edge with Vivienne Mackinder, Creative Cutting Series with Nick Beraidi, & Vidal Sassoon ABC Cutting Chicago (Just to name a few.) Jay has worked tremendously hard to get to where he is today! He says “it was a moment of Divine Intervention.” One that he’s been so grateful for since the first moment he picked up a pair of shears.

Linda has been in the business for 30 years; she started her career at Sally Esser cosmetology school in Northville and also received an associate degree from schoolcraft college in cosmetology management & business. Linda has traveled multiple times to New York L’Oréal academy for color & cutting training, where she then became an Educator for L’Oréal professional for 8 years, traveling to salons and educating them on the L’Oreal professional product line. Linda focused solely on hair color for 5 years, specializing mainly on grey coverage and multi-dimensional color. Since then, Linda has brought her talents to Tribute in 2015 and has been a huge asset to our team with her silly personality and knowledge of color!

Rachel has been a stylist since 2006, she excels with all things color and highlights! She also loves texture, curls, and short hair cuts. Rachel loves working with the razor, but uses her shears daily as well. Rachel has also continued her education in Chicago, Cleveland & has been to New York for Goldwell color formulation foundations class and has also attended many extra Education in Salon. You can spot Rachel in Salon with her bubbly personality and infectious laugh.

Candice has been a stylist for 18 years, she graduated from the Douglas J Aveda Institute. She specializes in Keratin Treatments, & short womens cuts. One of her favorite things about hairdressing is the constant opportunity for continued education. Styling and finishing hair gives her satisfaction of seeing the joy in her clients faces.
When Candice is not behind the chair, she is binge watching TV series, vacationing with family, & doing arts and crats with my daughter.

Emily has been a stylist for 5 years, she has worked her way up to a level 3 stylist with her remarkable work in highlighting, she is all blond girls dream stylist! She has refined her skills with multiple blonding classes, she is Brazilian blowout certified & Gk certified. She has traveled to the Goldwell and Bumble & Bumble Academies for Men’s cutting and Color classes. She has taken a master cutting class with renowned artist Jay Mahmood. Emily is extremely talented and so great at what she does! She is devoted to blondes and men’s cuts! She just loves making people feel beautiful & never feels like She’s going to “work”. I have been a stylist for 13 years! I have traveled from New York, to Chicago, to Miami for some of the industry’s best education classes & have attended and participated at Intercoiffure, I’ve had the pleasure of not only learning but also working side by side with industry leaders such as Jay Mahmoo, Sonna Brado, Jen Planck, Ted Gibson, Jason Backe, & Gino Stampora. I am driven by passion and the desire to constantly learn new techniques, new trends, & new formulas. I have completed Goldwell US color master classes in New York. I was also an educator for L’Oreal Professional. I am an extension specialist ~ through multiple extension lines Aqua Extensions, Lox Extensions, & Bellami Extensions. When I’m not behind the chair you can find me up in the gym working on my fitness, spending time with my husband and family, and spoiling my four legged “child” to death. Let’s try something new! Let’s step outside our comfort zones! Color the hair! Add the extensions! Step into my office, and feel the confidence!

Michelle has always loved doing hair, from a young age of doing her dolls hair to receiving her professional license. Michelle has 20 years of experience with many years of continued education from the Industries Top mentors such as Jay Mahmood, this has allowed her to perfect the skills of what she loves. She takes Pride in her customer service and treating each client with care. Michelle Specializes in men’s cutting and has sharpened her skills by taking Many Technical classes from Bumble & Bumble Razor cutting, to JCREW men’s cutting. When Michelle isn’t lining you up or perfecting your hair color, you can find her at the makeup bar getting you glammed up for your special occasion!

Charlie started her career in 2015 at Douglas J. Aveda in Ann Arbor just a couple months after graduating high school then quickly found a job as an assistant at Tribute. She worked her way from assisting to personal assistant, where she got hands on experience with some of our top stylists, and then officially got her chair in 2017. Major transformations, fantasy & vivid colors are a passion of hers, she loves watching hair dreams come true. She always has a good time collaborating with clients to figure out what exactly they want to see in their hair. All Charlie wants is for you to love your hair every day. She been all over the U.S. for continued education. She’s taken Goldwell color classes in LA, men’s cutting classes in New York City, and gone to hair shows in Chicago and Cleveland. She’s also taken classes right here at Tribute with some of our industries top artists like Jay Mahmood and Derick Zeno. Charlies entire career is based around making clients happy and feeling like they can have their dream hair at any point in life. Whether you’re coloring your hair for the first time ever or in for a fun fashion shade Charlie is your girl to get you to your perfect hair.

Erin has been a stylist for 13 years; her career was started senior year of high school. Cosmetology Students came in and talked about how awesome the industry was and at that moment she knew being a stylist was her calling. Specializing in blonding she loves rocking out classic highlights, & swing bobs. Education is what keeps her going in the industry recently being in New York at the Goldwell Academy. Erin is a quite soul & humble about her talent, her clients love the relaxation while receiving top service.

Jessica has been a stylist for 18 years! Her passion for the industry started at the age of 4 when she would do both of her sisters hair, in highschool she would do all of her friends hair for prom and Homecoming. It was inevitable for her to be a stylist. After all these years she is just as passionate as she was on day one. Jessica works magic with her hands when doing up-styles, blondes, & balayage on clients. Jessica has two boys who are her world, although she loves all things girly, you can find her having nerf wars, playing soccer, and catching some football games with her family!

Maggie has been doing hair for 20 years, she attended David Pressley cosmetology school. She has been with Tribute from the very beginning, (6 years) Maggie is our go to when it comes to styling product knowledge!
She has been to the TIGI cutting Academy in New York, Bumble styling academy in New York, and Goldwell color academies in New York, California, and Toronto. She has Also attended classes by the industries top stylists Jay Mahmood, Sonna Brado, and Jen Planck. Her favorite hair to do is dimensional color for natural and lived in looks. If you’re looking for a good laugh and dose of honesty, she won’t let ya down!


NATASHA

Natasha started her journey to becoming a hairdresser at Douglas J Aveda Institute in 2009. She has spent the last 12 years building a name for herself locally in the industry. She constantly looks forward to and attends training and education classes. Two of her favorite places to visit are the Goldwell/KMS Academy in New York and Bumble and bumble. University In New York. One of her most memorable classes was Bb. Curl, a curly hair cutting and styling class. In the salon, Natasha’s favorite service to perform would be any sort of lightening. She especially loves balayage and is well known for her talents in highlighting. She also really loves doing short women’s cuts and haircut transformations. Her goal is to make you feel beautiful inside and out when you leave her chair. In her free time, Natasha loves spending time with her two kids, Adelaide and Bingham. She loves being outdoors, hiking and kayaking. Yoga and fashion of her passions.

Devin joined L’espirit Beauty Academy to attain her Aesthetic license. Devin specializes in multiple services such as Xtreme Lash, Borboleta Beauty, Nova lash, Microblading, SkinPen Micro-needling, Hydra Facial and Brow Lamination. You can also find Devin at our front desk; she loves the diversity of the services and loves seeing the happiness on clients faces as they leave the salon! Micro-needling is Devin’s main specialty as she loves seeing the immediate transformation clients receive. As Devin likes to say, Front desk by day, Spa girl by night!

Joe graduated from the Douglas J Aveda Institute in Ann Arbor in 2013 for Cosmetology with additional cross-training for Spa services. He first began his career as an assistant stylist, building a reputation for giving a superior shampoo experience that clients couldn’t help but notice. Often mistaken as a massage therapist already, Joe decided to return to Douglas J and graduated for Massage Therapy in 2015, the same year he started working at Tribute Salon & Spa. Joe believes that a thorough consultation is the key to a successful massage experience. His reputation is one of professionalism, patience, and intuition. He always books enough time to talk with his clients, so a massage with him never feels rushed and always feels personalized.

Nail Technician Apprentice

Anabel has been learning and practicing techniques in manicuring and nail art since she was fourteen. In April of 2021, she began a nail apprenticeship with Tribute, training under the salon’s lead nail technician Lisa Miller. She is now bringing her talent to the public as she has begun taking clients. Anabel’s thorough and gentle work on manicures and pedicures – using Tribute’s large range of nail and skin products – leaves guests confident in their service provider as being a true professional, whereas she is plainly a novice with excellent work ethic and natural talent. Anabel is a fresh high school graduate who can easily relate to all generations with her confidence, humility, and easy-going wit. Her clients are quick to book another appointment with her after experiencing a relaxing visit in the nail room and leaving with beautiful, rejuvenated hands and feet. Make sure to take advantage of her skill with a fine brush and ask for nail art! Anabel can create anything from a classic French manicure to an artistic flowery pattern to a winding burst of color on even the smallest of nails.

Lisa began her cosmetology career in 1984! She began as a stylist assistant to a large creative team for 2 years.
She loved doing hair however, a car accident occurred and changed her path. After a 2-year recovery, she found her self back in the industry she loved. This time she began doing nails. She completed her CND certificate as well as galaxy acrylic. Although relocating her personal life she commuted to maintain her clientele for several years. After accepting a full-time position at a day spa, she began to rebuild her business in Livingston County. Her commitment remains strong in taking care of people, with her detail-oriented personality and the need for perfection to make each guest feel their best. She just views her work as a woven in part of her life. Her current lead responsibilities are to share her knowledge & mentor her team as they collaborate their talents to be their best for clients.

Angela completed her nail apprenticeship through Tribute, she has been licensed &offering all nail services for the last 2 years, she loves doing nail art! She is continually practicing different techniques and perfects her skills with her passions for painting, drawing and sculpting. Angela has 6 lizards and a large indoor plant collection.


MAGDALEN

Magdalen is one of Tribute’s nail technicians. She graduated from the Brighton Institute of Cosmetology in 2019 and has been with us since. She specializes in The Gel Bottle, CND Shellac, as well as CND Vinylux nail polish. Magdalen possesses a gentle touch and her attention to detail will leave you loving your nails. If you’re wanting to get creative, ask her about nail art!


JONELLE

At 11 years old Jonelle started working at her parents’ store where she learned a strong work ethic, she couldn’t wait to graduate high school and start her career in cosmetology. She has now been in the industry for 36 years, she has always done hair & nails, until 8 years ago she decided to focus solely on nails. Her favorite part about being a nail tech is the one-on-one time she gets to spend with each of her clients. She loves helping others as they take time out for self-care. Over the years she has enjoyed the flexibility of being able to stay home with her children, she’s even tried other careers, but she always comes back to what she loves.

Emily first started her journey as a client here at Tribute, she then realized her love for the industry and decided to work as our font desk concierge. She loves working with both clients and interacting with staff. When Emily is not greeting you with a smile at the desk, you can find her baking the most beautiful cookies and cakes! She is best known for bringing joy to her clients and coworkers.

Val began the salon industry in 1989 as a front desk coordinator, In the 9 years she also managed a salon developing staff & sales. She completed her degree in deictics at Madonna college in 2006 & was blessed with her son Jack in 2007. She enjoyed the opportunity to become a flight attendant for 2 years merging her love for customer service and travel. In 2011 Val came back to the industry that holds an oft spot in her heart. Val loves helping people feel good about themselves nothing compares.


KAYANNA

Kayanna lives in Pinckney and has been in this area for most of her life. Salon culture has always aligned with her soul. Kayanna has been fortunate enough to find a work/home that nourished and encouraged her passion for the guest experience. She is grateful that she is able to be a part of such a wonderful salon family. Not only does she adore her co-workers, but she loves that she gets to cultivate personal relationships with our guests. Every day there are opportunities to make someone smile and let them know that they are cared for. When people contact the salon to make an appointment, they are pausing for a moment in their day to make time for themselves, and she wants that to be a positive experience. Self-care is so important, and she admires people that make it a priority for themselves and their loved ones.

Her real name is Emily, but her stage name t Tribute is Rose. I came to work at Tribute because she loves the beauty industry. She is most interested in skincare and everything that it entails. Rose loves assisting guest as a front desk concierge. It makes her so happy to see guests leaving with glowing skin, shiny hair, and even brighter smile.

You can find Stephanie smiling and cracking jokes at the front as a concierge on our desk team. She was welcomed to Tribute Salon after an organic trip through the fashion and customer service world these last few years. She genuinely loves being able to help our guests book their appointments and watch them leave our salon with heads held a bit higher, smiles a bit bigger and witnessing their inner beauty shine outward. “It is an absolute pleasure to watch the stylists work their artistry and find a little extra sparkle in each guest.” When she’s not watching the magic happen at the salon, she’s at home playing, singing, laughing, dancing and dreaming with her daughter, Ev and our rescue dog, Cooper.

Baylie graduated Douglas J Aveda institute: east lansing in 2020 and found Tribute shortly after. Shehas been with Tribute for a year now as a licensed assistant and is eager to see clients. Her education continues through classes taught by Goldwell, Oribe, and the Talented team of educated stylist at Tribute! Baylie is the youngest of 4 sisters, one of whom is also a cosmetologist.

Hayden began her stylist career in July 2020 after graduating from Douglas J Aveda, she has spent the past two years working as a salon assistant and taking many classes through the salon to continue my education, she absolutely loves to do blonde hair but her favorite part of being a hairstylist is connecting with my clientele and making clients feel and look beautiful! On top of Hayden’s talent as a young stylist her customer service is exceptional, she makes you feel as if you’re the only person in the room.

Shannon is a fabulous assistant here at Tribute, she graduated from Dexter High school, during her senior year she attended the Huon Valley Beauty Academy where she received the “excellent student award” Also while In High School she got first place 2 years in a row for SKILLS USA. Shannon is very talented, & hard working, if you’ve been lucky enough to receive a shampoo from her, then you know how great she is at massaging all your stress away while you’re relaxing in the shampoo bowl.
